Heights Academy Preschool exists to nurture preschool aged children (2 ½ to 5 years old) in a faith-based, fun-filled, supportive, and confidence-building environment, and, at the same time, provide parents and families with the care, convenience and excellence that changes lives.
We believe in the value of instilling faith-based values into the lives of our children.
“We want every child to experience an atmosphere of support, encouragement with academic excellence, and a personal interest in their character and whole-person.”
Our new and unique preschool represents excellence in education and inspiring kids to live their lives with confidence for Christ.
Heights Academy Preschool will be launching this fall and is a ministry of Citizen Heights
Church. Our pastors have raised four sons and have seen first-hand the need for strong faith
foundations in an environment of academic excellence.
Our vision is to offer a world-class educational institution that nurtures children in a faith-based, fun-filled, supportive, confidence-building environment, AND, at the same time, provides parents and families with the care, convenience and excellence that changes lives.
Initially, we’ll have capacity for 120 students, with offices, and classrooms, and a playground situated on 6.5 acres that is able to support summer camps, and a beautiful new state of the art worship space for weekly chapels.
Plan with us, pray with us, join with us and enroll with us, as we nurture confident, bold, happy hearts here at Heights Academy Preschool!Hear our Vision
“There’s something powerful about instilling secure faith foundations and a love for learning into a child’s life at a young age.”
Heights Academy Preschool provides an inspired approach to faith-based education and a hope-filled foundation for life-long learning.
Michael & Heather Giroux
Lead Pastors of Citizen Heights Church
Michael and Heather have each been deeply impacted by faith-based educational institutions with a
passion for excellence. Both attended Christian day schools, High Schools, College, and Michael
received his law degree from a well-known Christian university that championed a Biblical worldview.
As products of Christian education, and with four sons of their own, they have a passion to help
foster excellence and convenience for the modern, busy family AND happy, healthy, confident children
with strong faith foundations.
Together, they started Citizen Heights with a vision to build a church where hope is inspired, limitations are removed, and every person is welcomed to experience God’s possible for their lives. They have a unique calling to champion unity, in an often-divided city. They’ve watched in wonder, as God has gathered the diversity of their international city, into His family, and the Citizen Heights community. Over time, the church has grown to include a DC Campus in northwest corner of the city, a thriving Online Campus with an international following, and most recently, a Virginia Campus in the Dulles Corridor of Northern Virginia.
Michael & Heather have been married for 26 years and have four amazing sons ranging in age from 20-12. They love family time and enjoying all the sights, sounds and tastes Washington, D.C. offers. In their free time you’ll find them riding dirt bikes, or camping and hiking. They’re also seriously big fans of all the Washington sports teams and hope you’ll join them cheering for the home teams!
